Sunita, a sister-in-law of Virendra Kisku, a resident of the Banka district of Bihar, who was trapped in the tunnel, said that she has been hearing for the last three days that the rescue operation is about to be completed, they will be taken out today, but the rescue is not being completed. Due to this, his brother-in-law trapped inside the tunnel is also disappointed. Indrajit, brother of Vishwajit Kumar, resident of village Keshodih, Jharkhand, is also waiting for his brother outside the tunnel. He says that every day there is a hope that today all the people trapped inside will come out, but then by the evening, this hope is shattered.
The family members' patience also broke and they said - I don't know when they will be able to get it out.

However, tunnel expert Parikshit Mehra said that work is being done to take out the auger of the auger machine, after taking it out, an attempt will be made to start drilling again.

Here drilling work of 800 mm pipe was being done with American auger machine. During this time, after drilling 1.5 meters, an obstruction of rebar and pipe came in front of the machine and the drilling work had to be stopped.

At the operation in Silkyra, run under the supervision of international tunneling expert Arnold Dix, experts are not entirely sure about vertical drilling. A senior disaster management expert associated with the disaster management department said that vertical drilling is also an option, but it may be the last option.
